Please come join us for a a candid conversation with Senator Myrie and Nikole Hannah-Jones, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, creator of the New York Times remarkable 1619 project. the 1619 project was a remarkable series of essays focused on exploring the historical legacy of slavery in all areas of American life. Senator Myie will engage in an in-depth discussion with Nikole Hannah-Jones moderated by Medgar Evers College Professor Brenda Greene, about a range of topics from the racial disparities that have been exacerbated during the COVID-19 crisis to the importance strengthening voting rights and the census. There will also be a Q & A where the viewing audience will have a chance to ask questions.
